Seoul: A South Korean C-130 military aircraft has embarked on a mission to evacuate South Korean nationals from Sudan amidst escalating conflicts between rival factions in the African nation. The aircraft successfully transported 28 South Koreans from an airport in Port Sudan, making a stopover in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, before arriving at Seoul Air Base in Seongnam, located just south of Seoul.
According to Yonhap News Agency, this operation comes amid rising tensions and violence in Sudan, prompting several nations to extract their citizens for safety reasons. The South Korean government responded quickly by dispatching the military aircraft to ensure the safe return of its nationals.
