Innospace, RSAT Space Collaborate for Satellite Launch Services in North America

Seoul: Innospace Co., a South Korean space startup, announced its partnership with RSAT Space Inc. of Canada to explore satellite launch service cooperation within the North American market. Under the newly signed memorandum of understanding (MOU), the two companies will jointly pursue opportunities in both government and commercial space programs, while developing new business models that integrate launch services with advanced space system capabilities.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the partnership aims to combine the companies' capabilities to expand their presence across government, commercial, and defense space sectors. Innospace, which is in the process of developing its Hanbit launch vehicle, seeks to enhance its cost-competitive and responsive launch services. Meanwhile, RSAT Space contributes its expertise in space system integration, mission support, and infrastructure development.

The MOU follows a letter of intent Innospace signed in March with Maritime Launch Services to secure access to a launch site in Canada and establish a foundation for recurring satellite launches in the region. "This partnership represents a key milestone in advancing our launch service business in Canada and the broader North American market, while establishing an operational foundation to reliably support regional launch demand," stated Innospace CEO Kim Soo-jong.

Gurvinder Chohan, CEO of RSAT Space, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, "We look forward to working with Innospace to explore opportunities that support the growth of the space ecosystem and enable mission readiness for a broad range of stakeholders."
