S. Korean Bond Yields Experience Mixed Movements

Seoul: In the latest financial update, South Korean bond yields exhibited mixed movements as of May 18, 2026, with some yields experiencing slight increases while others saw minor declines.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the yield on the 1-year treasury bond increased by 0.9 basis points to 3.147% from the previous session's 3.138%. Conversely, the 2-year treasury bond yield decreased by 0.8 basis points, now standing at 3.597% compared to the previous 3.605%. Similarly, the 3-year treasury bond yield recorded a decline of 0.9 basis points, moving from 3.766% to 3.757%.

In contrast, the 10-year treasury bond yield saw an increase, rising by 2.2 basis points to reach 4.239%, up from the previous 4.217%. The 2-year monetary stabilization bond yield dropped by 0.9 basis points, currently at 3.621%, down from 3.630%.

The 3-year corporate bond yield with an AA- rating decreased by 1.0 basis point to 4.381% from the previous 4.391%. Meanwhile, the 91-day certificate of deposit remained unchanged at 2.810%.
