Seoul: South Korean bond yields demonstrated varied movements on May 20, 2026, with minor changes across different maturities. The yields on short-term treasury bonds experienced slight increases, while longer-term bonds saw a slight decrease.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the 1-year treasury bond yield rose to 3.163% from the previous session's 3.153%, marking an increase of 1.0 basis point. Similarly, the 2-year treasury bond yield increased by 1.0 basis point, reaching 3.607% from 3.597%. The 3-year treasury bond yield moved slightly up by 0.9 basis points, from 3.751% to 3.760%.
The 10-year treasury bond yield, however, decreased by 1.2 basis points, dropping from 4.210% to 4.198%. The 2-year monetary stabilization bond (MSB) also saw a rise of 1.0 basis point, from 3.627% to 3.637%. Additionally, the 3-year corporate bond (AA-) yield increased by 0.9 basis points, moving from 4.377% to 4.386%.
The 91-day certificate of deposit (CD) yield also experienced an increase, rising by 1.0 basis point to 2.820% from the previous session's 2.810%.
