Seoul: The KOSPI 200 witnessed significant upward movement in stock prices for a variety of companies at the close of the trading session. SKCHEM, HD Hyundai Electric, and Hanwha Systems were among the top performers, with SKCHEM closing at 46,300, marking an increase of 2,250. HD Hyundai Electric reached 1,173,000, up by 37,000, while Hanwha Systems rose by 5,600 to close at 109,400.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other notable gains were observed in companies like SK Innovation and Poongsan. SK Innovation recorded a rise of 4,900 to settle at 123,700, and Poongsan increased by 2,500, ending at 88,000. KB Financial Group also saw a positive shift, closing at 160,000, up by 4,200. Meanwhile, HanmiPharm experienced a significant increase of 17,500, closing at 454,000.
In contrast, some companies faced declines, with APR and emart closing lower. APR fell by 8,500 to 391,000, and emart saw a decrease of 3,300, ending at 90,500. Doosan Robotics also experienced a drop, closing at 106,600, down by 1,000.
Overall, the KOSPI 200 reflected a day of gains with several companies showing notable improvements in their stock prices, despite a few experiencing declines.
