South Korean Bond Yields Experience Minor Fluctuations

Seoul: South Korean bond yields showed mixed movements on May 29, 2026, with short and long-term government securities experiencing both increases and decreases. The yields of 1-year and 10-year Treasury bonds saw reductions, whereas the 2-year Treasury bond observed a slight increase.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the 1-year Treasury bond yield decreased by 0.3 basis points to 3.174% from the previous session's 3.177%. Meanwhile, the 2-year Treasury bond yield increased by 0.2 basis points to 3.617% compared to 3.615% in the previous session. The 3-year Treasury bond yield experienced a decline of 3.5 basis points, settling at 3.731% from 3.766%.

The 10-year Treasury bond yield saw a significant decrease of 7.9 basis points, with the yield dropping from 4.147% to 4.068%. In the monetary stabilization sector, the 2-year Monetary Stabilization Bond yield slightly decreased by 0.2 basis points, moving from 3.645% to 3.643%.

Corporate bond yields also shifted, as the 3-year Corporate Bond (AA-) yield fell by 3.1 basis points, registering at 4.353% compared to the previous 4.384%. The 91-day Certificate of Deposit rate increased by 1.0 basis point, rising from 2.850% to 2.860%.
