Former NCT Member Mark Co-Founds K-Pop Agency Upper Room

Seoul: Mark, a former member of the K-pop supergroup NCT, has taken a significant step in his career by co-founding his own agency, Upper Room. He will serve as the co-CEO of the agency. This development was confirmed by his representatives on Thursday.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Upper Room was established alongside colleagues with whom Mark has previously collaborated. The new company aims to produce a range of music-based content that includes video, visual art, and performance. This integrated approach reflects Mark's vision of pushing creative boundaries.

The company explained that its name, Upper Room, signifies more than just a physical space. It is described as a gathering place for like-minded individuals to share ideas and explore new possibilities. Upper Room is set to provide comprehensive support for Mark's musical endeavors, as well as his broader creative vision and projects.

Mark's journey in the music industry began in 2016 when he debuted as part of NCT. He played a pivotal role in the subunits NCT 127 and NCT Dream. His exclusive contract with SM Entertainment concluded in April, marking his departure from the group and paving the way for his new venture.
