South Korea’s Exports Surge by 86 Percent in Early June

Seoul: South Korea's exports surged by an impressive 86 percent from a year earlier during the initial 10 days of June, data revealed on Thursday. The significant increase in outbound shipments saw the total reach US$28.6 billion, compared to $15.4 billion recorded during the same timeframe last year, indicating robust growth in the country's export sector.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the Korea Customs Service provided the data, highlighting that imports also rose by 35.6 percent year-on-year to $23.4 billion over the same period. This growth in imports resulted in a trade surplus of $5.2 billion, showcasing South Korea's strong trade performance in the early part of June.
