KOSPI 200 Sees Decline in Key Stocks

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a downturn as numerous major stocks closed lower. Companies such as Samsung Life, KT and G, and Doosan Enerbility were among those that experienced a decline in their stock prices. Samsung Life closed at 450,500, down by 46,500, and KT and G ended at 174,900, down by 5,100. Doosan Enerbility also saw a decrease, finishing at 94,200, down by 3,700.

According to Yonhap News Agency, other significant players such as LG Display, NAVER, and Kakao also faced declines. LG Display's stock price fell by 640, closing at 12,930, while NAVER dropped by 7,500 to end at 222,000. Kakao saw a reduction of 950, closing at 36,800.

Notably, NC and KIWOOM reported significant drops, with NC closing at 260,500, down by 16,500, and KIWOOM at 337,000, down by 9,000. Hanwha Ocean also experienced a notable decrease, ending at 116,500, down by 11,900. On the other hand, HANMISemi and LGELECTRONICS bucked the trend, showing increases in their stock prices. HANMISemi rose by 6,500 to close at 301,500, while LGELECTRONICS increased by 16,000, ending at 227,500.

Additional stocks such as KEPCO KPS, ShinhanGroup, and HYUNDAIGLOVIS also faced declines. KEPCO KPS closed at 47,450, down 2,250, ShinhanGroup ended at 97,500, down 3,400, and HYUNDAIGLOVIS concluded at 204,000, down 18,500.

Other stocks that showed minor increases included HYUNDAIDEPTST and CSWIND. HYUNDAIDEPTST saw a rise of 1,300, closing at 196,000, and CSWIND increased by 1,000 to end at 43,450. Meanwhile, Youngone Corp and AMOREPACIFIC both reported declines, with Youngone Corp closing at 72,500, down by 5,500, and AMOREPACIFIC ending at 100,700, down by 3,900.
