Naver Launches Platform Connecting Startups with Investors to Boost Financing

South korea: South Korean portal operator Naver Corp. announced the launch of a new platform designed to connect startups with investors, aligning with government initiatives to enhance productive financing.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the platform, named "Npay Startup," was officially launched during a ceremony at Naver's second office building in Seongnam, located south of Seoul. The event was attended by members of the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS), as well as representatives from finance and venture sectors.

The platform is structured as an independent website, as stated by a company official. This initiative is a collaborative effort between Naver, the FSS, and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. The primary goal is to streamline access to investment information for local venture companies by uniting investors, including brokerages and venture capital firms, with startups on a single platform.

Naver also mentioned that following a three-month test period, they will collaborate with related agencies to ensure data consistency. Additionally, they plan to increase the number of participating entities involved in this venture.
