Seoul: Friday's trading session on the Korea Stock Exchange saw a mixed performance among KOSPI 200 stocks, with several companies experiencing significant gains and others facing declines. Notably, HANWHA LIFE closed at 4,650 KRW, marking an increase of 405 KRW, while Youngpoong saw a rise of 900 KRW, closing at 36,750 KRW.
According to Yonhap News Agency, SK hynix experienced a decline, closing at 2,180,000 KRW, a drop of 6,000 KRW. In contrast, Hyundai Engineering and Construction recorded a notable increase, rising by 8,300 KRW to reach 107,200 KRW. Other companies such as DL and HANKOOK and COMPANY saw varying results, with DL climbing by 3,150 KRW to 45,650 KRW, while HANKOOK and COMPANY fell by 400 KRW to 25,050 KRW.
KIA CORP. and Samsung Securities also reported gains, with KIA CORP. increasing by 2,700 KRW to 147,500 KRW and Samsung Securities rising by 5,400 KRW to 112,000 KRW. KEPCO and Kumho Petrochemical followed suit, with KEPCO up by 1,000 KRW to 36,200 KRW and Kumho Petrochemical increasing by 5,500 KRW to 117,400 KRW.
However, not all companies experienced upward trends. S-1's stock fell by 9,000 KRW to 73,000 KRW, and ASIA HOLDINGS saw a significant decrease of 19,300 KRW, closing at 178,600 KRW. Meanwhile, OTOKI dropped by 19,000 KRW to 312,500 KRW.
The trading session highlighted the varied performance among KOSPI 200 stocks, with several companies achieving gains while others faced declines, reflecting the dynamic nature of the stock market.
