KOSPI 200 Stocks Witness Significant Gains on Thursday

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index closed with notable increases in the stock prices of several major companies on Thursday. Among the stocks traded on the main Korea Stock Exchange, many saw substantial gains, indicating a positive market trend.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. led the charge with a remarkable increase of 48,000 KRW, closing at 467,000 KRW. Other significant gainers included SK hynix, which climbed by 89,000 KRW to reach 1,919,000 KRW, and Hyundai Motor, which rose by 14,000 KRW, closing at 432,000 KRW.

PanOcean saw a rise of 220 KRW to close at 5,300 KRW, while Samsung C and T increased by 6,000 KRW, reaching a closing price of 360,000 KRW. Lotte Wellfood and LG Corp. also contributed to the positive momentum with increases of 2,500 KRW each, closing at 102,000 KRW and 101,600 KRW, respectively.

Hyundai Steel's stock price rose by 2,350 KRW, ending at 28,150 KRW, and Hanwha Systems gained 7,800 KRW, closing at 69,700 KRW. SK Innovation had a notable increase of 13,800 KRW, finishing the day at 132,200 KRW.

Other companies such as POSCO Future M, Hanwha, and DB HiTek also experienced significant gains, adding to the overall upward trend in the KOSPI 200 index. Meanwhile, Coway was one of the few companies to see a decline, dropping by 1,100 KRW to close at 90,700 KRW.
