Seoul: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) showed stability in most terms today, with only slight changes observed in the 3-month and 6-month rates. The rates, published by Yonhap Infomax, reflect the interbank lending rates at 11:00 a.m.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the 1-week, 1-month, and 2-month rates remained unchanged at 2.75%, 2.82%, and 2.89% respectively, from the previous session. The 12-month rate also held steady at 3.71%. However, a minor decrease was noted in the 3-month rate, which fell from 2.99% to 2.98%. Similarly, the 6-month rate saw a slight drop from 3.25% to 3.24%.
These figures are crucial for financial institutions as they influence interest rates for various financial instruments and loans. The stability in the short-term rates suggests a consistent lending environment in the interbank market, with only minor fluctuations affecting the medium-term rates.
