Seoul: Doosan Enerbility announced its second-quarter net profit reached 226.4 billion won (US$154.1 million), marking a 14.4 percent increase compared to the previous year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the energy solutions provider, part of the Doosan Group, disclosed in a regulatory filing that its operating profit for the quarter was 314.3 billion won, up from 271.1 billion won in the same period last year. Additionally, the company's sales increased by 3.4 percent, reaching 4.72 trillion won.
The company's earnings surpassed market expectations. A survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data arm of Yonhap News Agency, revealed that analysts had projected an average net profit of 61.4 billion won for the quarter.
