Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index has seen a significant decline, with numerous companies experiencing a drop in their stock prices. The closing price list revealed that several major firms faced downturns in their market performance.
According to Yonhap News Agency, HanmiPharm saw its stocks fall by 16,000, closing at 374,500. Meritz Financial and BNK Financial Group also faced decreases, with their prices dropping by 7,500 and 850 respectively. iM Financial Group's stocks were down by 1,340, settling at 16,750. Retail giant emart experienced a decrease of 3,400, closing at 79,300.
Hankook Tire and Technology reported a decline of 3,100, bringing its shares to 667, while KOLMAR KOREA ended the day at 98,900, a drop of 3,600. HANJINKAL and CHONGKUNDANG saw reductions of 1,700 and 1,100, respectively. DoubleUGames and HL MANDO also faced declines, with their stocks falling by 1,100 and 4,000.
In contrast, SAMSUNG BIOLOGICS was one of the few companies to see an increase, with its stock rising by 4,000 to reach 1,549,000. However, Doosan Bobcat, Netmarble, and KRAFTON all saw downturns, with declines of 3,800, 600, and 4,000, respectively.
HD HYUNDAI and its subsidiaries faced substantial drops, with HD HYUNDAI ELECTRIC experiencing a significant decrease of 92,000, closing at 705,000. Other companies like HD CE, MIWON SC, and ORION also saw their shares fall, with reductions of 11,800, 300, and 100, respectively.
HANWHA SYSTEMS, APR, and BGF Retail were not spared, with their stocks dropping by 1,800, 21,000, and 1,500. SKCHEM and SK ie technology reported declines of 2,100 and 790. Meanwhile, HYOSUNG TNC and HS HYOSUNG ADVANCED faced downturns of 12,000 and 8,700.
DL EandC, HANILCMT, and SKBS also saw decreases, with their shares falling by 6,400, 300, and 1,050, respectively. HyundaiAutoever experienced a notable decline of 52,500, closing at 341,500.
Kakaopay and KakaoBank were among the companies with decreased stock values, dropping by 2,800 and 850. SKSQUARE reported a significant reduction of 171,000, closing at 925,000. Lastly, HDHMS, ECOPRO MAT, Doosan Robotics, OCI, ISUSPECIALTYCHEMICAL, and d'Alba Global all faced various degrees of stock price reductions.
