South Korean Bond Yields Show Mixed Movements

Seoul: South Korean bond yields experienced mixed movements on the morning of September 17, 2026, with varying changes across different tenors of treasury bonds. The 1-year treasury bond yield increased to 3.670% from the previous session's 3.613%, marking a 5.7 basis point rise.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the 2-year treasury bond yield rose to 4.014% from 3.978%, representing a 3.6 basis point increase. The 3-year treasury bond yield saw an increase as well, moving up by 3.7 basis points to 4.090% from 4.053%. In contrast, the 10-year treasury bond yield decreased slightly, moving down by 1.1 basis points to 4.536% from 4.547%.

In addition to treasury bonds, monetary stabilization bonds and corporate bonds also displayed varying yield changes. The 2-year monetary stabilization bond yield increased by 3.4 basis points, reaching 4.000% from the previous session's 3.966%. Meanwhile, the 3-year corporate bond (rated AA-) yield rose by 2.1 basis points to 4.737% from 4.716%.
