Seoul: K-pop boy band Seventeen's Seungkwan and Dino will enlist together on October 26, their agency announced on Monday. The agency also revealed that fellow member Mingyu is set to begin his alternative military service next month.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Pledis Entertainment shared the news on the K-pop fan community platform Weverse, stating that Seungkwan and Dino would join the military brass band in the South Korean Army. The agency advised fans against visiting the boot camp on the enlistment day due to anticipated crowding from other recruits and their families.
Pledis Entertainment further noted that Mingyu will start his mandatory military service on September 10. The agency clarified that there will be no official event either on the day he begins his service or when he later enters the military training center. Fans were also requested not to visit Mingyu's workplace during his alternative service period.
The agency confirmed that the three members will continue with their planned activities until they commence their military duties. With these enlistments, all Seventeen members, except for S.Coups, who was exempted from military service, and Chinese members The8 and Jun, along with U.S. national Joshua, will have either fulfilled or be in the process of fulfilling their military obligations.
