Seoul: The KOSPI 200 experienced a mix of gains and losses as individual stock performances varied across the board. Key players such as LG Uplus and PanOcean ended the day on a lower note, with LG Uplus closing down by 180 points at 14,700 and PanOcean decreasing by 170 points to 5,630.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Hanmi Semiconductor witnessed a significant increase, climbing 8,500 points to finish at 226,000. Other notable gainers included KEPCO KPS, which rose by 800 points to 46,200, and Hyundai Glovis, which saw a boost of 4,800 points, closing at 204,500.
LG Chem remained steady with no change at 275,500. Meanwhile, KTandG faced a decrease, dropping 3,600 points to 173,800. In the financial sector, JB Financial Group and Hana Financial Group showed positive trends, ending the day up by 1,400 and 3,100 points, respectively.
On the technology front, LG Electronics rose by 1,500 points to close at 206,500, while LG Display fell by 180 points, ending at 9,940. The defense sector also saw movement with Hanwha Engine increasing by 3,050 points to 48,250.
