Seoul: Revenue from Apple Inc. at LG Innotek Co. is believed to have reached a record high in the first half of the year, according to the first-half report released by the electronic component maker Friday.
According to Yonhap News Agency, revenue from a single customer, which accounted for more than 10 percent of LG Innotek's total sales, and covered its optical and package businesses, totaled 8.84 trillion won (US$6.24 billion) in the January-June period.
The first-half figure was the largest ever recorded for sales to a single customer during the first six months of a year, the company which is part of the LG Group said.
LG Innotek did not officially disclose the customer's name. However, the customer is believed to be Apple based on the size of the sales and the structure of the company's businesses.
LG Innotek supplies key components, including camera modules and substrates, for Apple's iPhones.
