Katseye Scores Career-Best No. 2 on British Albums Chart

London: K-pop girl group Katseye has scored its highest ranking yet on Britain's Official Albums Chart, debuting at No. 2 with its latest EP, "Wild."

According to Yonhap News Agency, the U.S.-based group's third EP entered the Official Albums Chart Top 100 at No. 2, as per the latest chart released on Friday (British time). This achievement marks a significant rise from the group's previous best, a No. 55 peak with their second EP, "Beautiful Chaos," released last year.

In addition to the album's success, Katseye has also made a notable impact on the Official Singles Chart Top 100. The pre-release single "Animal" climbed four spots to No. 12. Meanwhile, "Hootie Frutti," the main track of the new EP, and "Bel Air," another track from the album, debuted at No. 16 and No. 97, respectively.

"Wild," released on August 14, delves into themes of embracing one's inner self while seeking instinct and freedom. The album's creation saw contributions from prominent figures such as Hybe Chairman Bang Si-hyuk, British pop star Ed Sheeran, and producers Omer Fedi and Blake Slatkin.

Elsewhere on the chart, BTS's fifth studio album "Arirang" ranked No. 68, maintaining a presence on the chart for 22 consecutive weeks. On the singles chart, "Golden," from the soundtrack of the Netflix animated film "KPop Demon Hunters," secured the No. 46 spot.
