KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Performance as Several Stocks Climb

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index saw a mixed performance as markets closed, with notable gains and losses among major companies. LS ELECTRIC led the upward trend, closing at 195,400, an increase of 3,100. Other prominent gainers included LG Innotek, which rose by 32,000 to close at 602,000, and SK, climbing 7,000 to end at 556,000.

According to Yonhap News Agency, while several stocks saw gains, others experienced declines. HANWHA AEROSPACE fell by 3,000, closing at 1,102,000. SAMSUNG EPIS HOLDING also saw a significant drop, decreasing by 2,500 to 366,000. In the telecommunications sector, SKTelecom reported a decline of 3,400, ending the session at 98,900.

The trading session was marked by notable upward movements in the retail and energy sectors. LOTTE SHOPPING climbed 2,700, reaching 98,900, while Doosan Enerbility surged by 7,700, closing at 80,700. Additionally, LOTTE WELLFOOD experienced a robust rise, ending at 135,200, up by 5,100.

Meanwhile, some stocks such as Hanchem and Hanon Systems remained unchanged, closing at 205,000 and 3,525 respectively. The mixed results reflect varied investor sentiment and market conditions impacting different sectors.
