Seoul: The leaders of South Korea's ruling and main opposition parties met separately with the Vietnamese parliamentary chief Monday to discuss ways to bolster bilateral exchanges.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Ruling Democratic Party (DP) leader Rep. Kim Min-seok met with Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man in Seoul. During the meeting, Kim emphasized that bilateral ties are stronger than ever. In response, Man expressed Vietnam's high regard for its relationship with South Korea and its readiness to work closely with Seoul to advance their comprehensive strategic partnership.
Rep. Jang Dong-hyeok, leader of the main opposition People Power Party (PPP), also held a meeting with Man, where he expressed hope for more active parliamentary exchanges. Jang assured that efforts would be made to ensure South Korea's official development assistance programs continue to support Vietnam's growth. He also committed to focusing on diversifying air routes between the two countries to expand bilateral exchanges.
