Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a decline, reflecting a widespread drop in the closing prices of several major corporations. Among the notable decreases, Hyundai Wia saw a significant drop of 2,200, closing at 56,300. Similarly, Kumho Petrochem also reported a decrease of 2,200, ending at 123,800. Not far behind, Mobis recorded a decrease of 17,000, closing at 415,000. Meanwhile, Hanwha Aerospace dropped by 12,000 to close at 1,027,000, and Samsung Epis Holding fell by 9,000, closing at 351,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other notable declines included Samsung SDS, which decreased by 12,500 to 230,000, and SK, which saw an 8,000 decline to 603,000. Samsung Life also experienced a decrease of 4,000, closing at 308,000. Among the lesser declines, HMM fell by 300 to 21,150, and LG Uplus dropped by 210 to 14,880.
Not all companies experienced declines, as S-1 and KEPCO bucked the trend with increases. S-1 rose by 100 to close at 79,200, while KEPCO increased by 1,350 to 34,100. Coway and Lotte Shopping also saw gains, with Coway rising by 2,100 to 99,800 and Lotte Shopping climbing by 5,500 to 117,800. Other companies with increases included Doosan Enerbility, which rose by 1,600 to 89,500, and Samsung EandA, which increased by 1,150 to 49,150.
