Seoul: K-pop girl group Illit will release its fifth EP, "Break Even," on Oct. 26, its agency announced Monday. This marks the group's first new music release in approximately six months.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the upcoming album comes on the heels of the group's fourth EP, "It's Me," which was launched in April. The title "Break Even" draws inspiration from the economic term "break-even point," which describes a state where there is neither profit nor loss. This concept is central to the album's theme, as explained by the group's agency, Belift Lab.
Belift Lab elaborated that the new project conveys a distinct message from the speaker. She declares that she will no longer invest her time and emotions in relationships lacking mutual benefit. This represents a shift from her former direct and unreserved approach towards her love interest. The album is anticipated to showcase Illit's evolving musical style and thematic depth, offering fans a fresh perspective on their artistic journey.
