Ostrava: Gen. Son Sug-rag, chief of staff of the South Korean Air Force, is leading a South Korean delegation to the largest security show in Europe, held in the Czech Republic, the armed force announced Thursday. The two-day NATO Days event, commencing on Saturday in Ostrava, is set to gather member states of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) along with partner nations, showcasing a wide array of security capabilities.
According to Yonhap News Agency, during his visit, which spans from Thursday to Monday, Gen. Son is scheduled to meet with Czech Defense Minister Jaromir Zuna and other key Czech officials. These meetings aim to explore opportunities to enhance defense exchanges and cooperation with the countries participating in the event.
In a related development, the Black Eagles aerobatic team from South Korea was initially slated to participate in the event but later withdrew at the organizer's request due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, as reported by officials.
