According to Yonhap News Agency, the win propels South Korea into the quarterfinals, where they are set to face Kazakhstan, the runner-up of Pool B. Avoiding Pool B winner China, known as a global volleyball powerhouse, was a strategic advantage for the team. Coach Cha Sang-hyun expressed his confidence in the players, noting their determination and focus, especially after the setback of losing the third set. He highlighted the importance of this win as a redemption for their previous 3-2 loss to Vietnam at the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games, which had resulted in South Korea missing a medal for the first time since 2006.
