New York:President Lee Jae Myung returned home after completing a visit to the United States and Mexico.
According to Yonhap News Agency, during his trip, President Lee attended the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York from Monday to Wednesday. While there, he engaged in bilateral discussions with U.S. President Donald Trump and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
Following his visit to the United States, President Lee embarked on a three-day state visit to Mexico, marking the first such visit by a South Korean president in 16 years. During this visit, he met with Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum. The leaders agreed on an action plan to enhance bilateral cooperation in advanced industries such as AI, digital technology, aerospace, and defense.
In addition, South Korea and Mexico signed 17 memorandums of understanding and documents, focusing on economic cooperation, defense, aerospace, and AI.
