Samsung Electronics Expands Personalized AI Subscription Services

Seoul:Samsung Electronics Co. announced plans to enhance its artificial intelligence (AI) subscription services by introducing more personalized options tailored to individual customer needs.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the South Korean technology firm has seen nearly 1 trillion won (US$734 million) in cumulative sales from these services, excluding mobile products, since their launch two years ago. Im Sung-taek, executive vice president responsible for South Korea's sales team, expressed gratitude for customer support, noting the significant sales milestone achieved within just one year.

The latest update to the service aims to strengthen personalized customer care. Samsung has introduced two new options to its "Blue Pass" service, which offers expert assistance for product installation and after-sales service.

Samsung plans to further expand its subscription offerings, considering customers' life stages, product-management needs, and budgets. The decision to broaden these services is influenced by the rapid growth of the domestic subscription market.

The company highlighted that 94.8 percent of South Korean consumers used subscription services this year, with an average of 5.5 services per person, spending approximately 41,853 won monthly on subscriptions.
