According to Yonhap News Agency, Noh Jin-young scored the decisive goal with a header in the fourth minute, taking advantage of a pass from Choe Yu-ri following a South Korean free kick. This victory marks South Korea's fourth bronze medal in women's football at the Asian Games and their first since 2018.
South Korea ended an 11-year winless streak against China, which included five draws and six losses. During the match, South Korea prevented China from registering any shots on target in the first half. In the second half, goalkeeper Kim Kyeong-hee made a crucial save against Chinese player Shao Ziqin, ensuring South Korea maintained their lead and secured the win.
