Ulsan:South Korea and Venezuela ended their match in a goalless draw on Friday at the Munsu Football Stadium. This was South Korea's third match under interim head coach Robert Moreno.
According to Yonhap News Agency, South Korea's attack was largely ineffective, with their first shot attempt coming late in the first half. Despite some promising opportunities, including a stoppage-time shot by winger Lee Dong-gyeong, they failed to score. Earlier, Moreno's tenure began with a 3-0 victory over Ecuador but was followed by a 4-1 defeat to Uruguay.
The match saw Venezuela in 47th place in the FIFA rankings, 15 spots below South Korea, taking early control. They created several chances, including a disallowed goal due to offside and a shot by Gleiker Mendoza that hit the woodwork. South Korean goalkeeper Song Bum-keun was kept busy with a tough save from Jesus Ramirez.
The South Korean team will conclude their September-October schedule against Uzbekistan on Tuesday at Yongin Mireu Stadium. Moreno's performance is under close observation, with his contract extending until the end of November. The Korea Football Association has indicated he could lead the team at the Asian Cup next year, pending the results of his first six matches in charge.
