Son Heung-min Sets Record as South Korea Defeats Uzbekistan

Yongin:South Korea secured a 2-0 victory over Uzbekistan at Yongin Mireu Stadium, marking their second win in four matches under interim coach Robert Moreno. Captain Son Heung-min achieved a personal milestone by becoming South Korea's all-time leading male scorer.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Son Heung-min scored his record-breaking 59th goal with a free kick in the sixth minute of the match. Despite Uzbekistan's control for significant portions of the game, South Korea maintained their lead.

The second goal for South Korea came in the second half from substitute Oh Se-hun. This match concluded South Korea's September-October FIFA fixture window with a record of two wins, one draw, and one loss.

The South Korean team is scheduled to play two more matches in the next FIFA window from November 9 to 17.
