Nuri Rocket Positioned for Fifth Launch at South Korean Space Center

Goheung:South Korea's indigenously developed Nuri rocket was transported and positioned vertically on its launchpad on Tuesday, in preparation for its scheduled fifth launch.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the Korea AeroSpace Administration (KASA) reported that the launch team successfully moved the rocket to the launchpad at the Naro Space Center, located about 330 kilometers south of Seoul. The journey took 90 minutes and was completed by 7:30 a.m.

The Korea Aerospace Research Institute confirmed that the rocket was secured in a vertical position by 10:35 a.m. Following this, the launch team will connect the rocket to the umbilical systems, responsible for supplying power and other essential links. A series of checks will be conducted to prepare for the injection of fuel and oxidizer.

KASA expects the launchpad preparations to be finalized by the end of the day. On Wednesday, the agency will hold a launch management committee meeting to set the final launch time, taking into account the rocket's technical readiness, weather conditions, and the potential for collisions with existing space objects.
