Seoul:The KOSPI 200 index experienced a mix of gains and losses as various companies closed with differing performances.
According to Yonhap News Agency, notable increases were observed in companies such as POSCO Holdings, which rose by 7,000 to close at 318,000, and ISUPETASYS, which saw a significant jump of 10,700 to reach 131,900. Other companies with marked gains included SAMSUNG SDI CO., LTD., up 46,000 to 575,000, and LG Innotek, which increased by 70,000 to close at 644,000.
Additional companies showing positive movement included OCI Holdings and LS ELECTRIC, both rising by 8,000 to close at 244,500 and 217,500, respectively. Korea Zinc also saw a substantial increase of 29,000, closing at 1,109,000, while HYOSUNG HEAVY rose by 22,000 to end at 2,807,000.
In contrast, some companies experienced declines. Samsung Electronics fell by 4,000 to 272,000, and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries dropped 5,500 to 420,500. Samsung Heavy Industries and S-Oil also saw decreases, closing at 19,700 and 165,300, respectively.
