Lee Kang-in’s Agency Denies Rumors, Threatens Legal Action

Tunis:The agency representing South Korean football star Lee Kang-in has announced potential legal action in response to "groundless" rumors accusing the midfielder of causing internal conflict within the men's national team.

According to Yonhap News Agency, The Black Label released a statement confirming the spread of baseless online rumors about Lee Kang-in. The agency emphasized that the allegations are unfounded and unrelated to Lee. They are currently collecting online comments and posts that may constitute spreading false rumors and defamation, with plans to pursue legal measures if necessary.

These rumors suggest that Lee, 24, was involved in disrupting team dynamics, particularly after a recent friendly match against Uzbekistan. Following this match, it was reported that three players born in 1996 — Kim Min-jae, Hwang Hee-chan, and Hwang In-beom — considered retiring from international play due to dissatisfaction with the leadership of captain Son Heung-min and Lee Jae-sung, both 34 years old.

The situation escalated after a YouTuber claimed that Lee Kang-in had aligned with the younger players in an attempt to remove Son from his captaincy, a speculation that quickly gained traction online.
