Taihan Cable Secures $89 Million High-Voltage Cable Contract in the U.S.

Manila:Taihan Cable and Solution Co., South Korea's second-largest cable manufacturer, announced it has secured a 120 billion-won (approximately US$89 million) contract to supply a high-voltage cable system in the United States.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the company won a turnkey contract from an undisclosed U.S. power network operator to deliver a high-voltage alternating current (HVAC) cable system. This contract includes responsibilities for engineering, manufacturing, installation, and testing of the cable system.

The demand for large-scale turnkey cable projects in the U.S. is reportedly growing due to the expansion of the artificial intelligence (AI) industry and increased investments in data centers. Taihan Cable is committed to exploring further business opportunities in the U.S. to meet diverse customer needs.

As of the end of June, the company's cable order backlog was valued at 4.06 trillion won.
