Seoul:South Korean chipmaker SK hynix Inc. has emerged as the most sought-after company among job seekers in South Korea over the past year, based on a recent survey.
According to Yonhap News Agency, a poll by Seoul-based recruitment platform Incruit Corp. revealed that SK hynix topped the list of companies favored by job seekers registered on the platform. This feature enables users to receive job notifications from the companies they follow via email.
SK hynix has gained prominence as South Korea's second-largest company by market capitalization, driven by increased demand for artificial intelligence (AI) chips. Following SK hynix, Hyundai Motor Co. took the second spot in the rankings, with Incheon International Airport Corp., platform operator Kakao Corp., and tech giant Samsung Electronics Co. completing the top five.
The survey also highlighted that among the ten most popular companies, two were public institutions Incheon International Airport and Korea Electric Power Corp. Woori Bank was the only financial institution to make the top 10 list.
