Seoul:The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a downward trend with most major stocks closing lower, as indicated by the recent performance data. Among the notable decliners, KOREA ZINC dropped by 83,000 to close at 916,000, while SK experienced a significant fall of 29,500, ending at 428,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, SamsungHvyInd ended its session down by 980 at 17,320, and Mobis saw a reduction of 17,500, closing at 348,000. Other major companies like LG Innotek and OCI Holdings also faced declines, with LG Innotek down by 15,000 to 407,000 and OCI Holdings falling 17,000 to 201,000.
Hyundai WIA ended the day down by 300 to 51,800, and LS ELECTRIC decreased by 9,400 to end at 155,200. Meanwhile, LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp and HMM closed lower, decreasing by 4,000 to 52,900 and 550 to 23,450, respectively. In contrast, Hanwha M and S saw a slight increase, rising by 10 to close at 7,480, and KT and G also recorded a gain, up by 900 to 194,000.
