Seoul:Lisa of the K-pop group BLACKPINK has made a highly anticipated return to the music scene with her new solo EP, "Press Play," released on Friday. This marks the artist's first solo project in one year and eight months.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the six-track album, launched at midnight, is Lisa's debut solo EP following her first full-length album, "Alter Ego," which was released in February of last year. The EP is led by the track "Tarantino" and includes other songs such as "Sawadika," "V12," "Cobra," "Cut U Off," and "Sweat."
"Sawadika," one of the tracks from the new EP, was released in September ahead of the album's full launch and achieved a significant milestone by debuting at No. 69 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, setting a new record for the artist.
Lisa's comeback follows her recent success at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles, where she won the Best Pop award for "Dream," a track from "Alter Ego." This achievement made her the first Asian solo artist to win in this major category.
