Seoul:The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a day of mixed movements with several companies showing significant gains. Among the top gainers were KIH, which rose by 8,500 to close at 154,000, and LGCHEM, which increased by 7,500 to end at 236,000. Hyundai Glovis also marked a substantial increase, climbing by 6,600 to reach 187,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other notable performers included LIG Defense & Aerospace, which surged by 6,000 to 44,900, and KB Financial Group, which went up by 6,400 to settle at 154,000. Hyundai Rotem also experienced a notable rise of 3,000, closing at 82,800.
In contrast, some companies experienced declines. Youngone Corp fell by 400 to 67,700, and COSMAX saw a decrease of 3,000, closing at 260,500. Kangwonland also dipped slightly, down by 30 to end the day at 13,680.
Overall, the KOSPI 200 showed a day of mixed performances with gains predominantly outweighing losses among the listed companies.
