Seoul:Samsung C&T Corp., the construction and trading arm of South Korea's Samsung Group, announced a decline in its third-quarter net profit, reaching 800.9 billion won (US$599.2 million), marking a 9.5 percent decrease compared to the previous year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung C&T's operating profit for the July-September period rose to 1.14 trillion won, reflecting a 15 percent increase from the same period last year. Additionally, the company's revenue saw an 18.3 percent growth, totaling 12 trillion won.
The operating profit surpassed the average estimate by 18.2 percent as per a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data branch of Yonhap News Agency. However, the estimate for net profit was not disclosed.
