No Drug Violations Detected During Seoul’s Halloween Eve Crackdown

Seoul:Police announced on Saturday that no drug-related violations were discovered during a joint crackdown in nightlife districts across Seoul on the eve of Halloween.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the inspections took place at eight clubs in the districts of Gangnam, Seocho, and Yongsan on Friday night. This operation is part of a special drug crackdown initiated in August in collaboration with fire and municipal authorities.

The police specifically targeted clubs, entertainment venues, and areas with high concentrations of foreigners, anticipating large crowds during the Halloween period. A police official emphasized the ongoing commitment to strengthen inspections and crackdowns in vulnerable areas.

Authorities are encouraging the public to report any drug-related crimes, assuring that informants will remain anonymous and will be eligible for rewards.
