Amorepacific Holdings Sees 5.4% Dip in Q1 Net Profit to 132.5 Billion Won

Seoul: Amorepacific Holdings, the holding firm of South Korea's leading cosmetics maker Amorepacific Corp., has announced a decrease in its first-quarter net profit. The company's net income for the January-March period stood at 132.5 billion won (US$89.8 million), marking a 5.4 percent decline from the same period last year.

According to Yonhap News Agency, despite the dip in net profit, Amorepacific Holdings reported positive growth in other areas. The company's operating profit for the first quarter rose by 6.9 percent year-on-year, reaching 137.8 billion won. Furthermore, sales showed an increase of 5 percent, totaling 1.22 trillion won. This growth in sales and operating profit reflects the company's ongoing efforts to strengthen its market position and adapt to changing consumer demands.
