Amorepacific Corp. announced a first-quarter net income of 80.1 billion won (approximately US$58.2 million) on Monday, marking a 10.7 percent decrease from the previous year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, despite a slight drop in sales to 911.5 billion won, down 0.2 percent from last year, the operating profit rose to 72.7 billion won from 64.4 billion won. These results surpassed market expectations, where the average net profit estimate by analysts was 46.6 billion won, based on data from Yonhap Infomax, the financial data arm of Yonhap News Agency.
