BLACKPINK’s music video for “Pink Venom,” a prerelease song from its second regular album, has attracted the most YouTube views within 24 hours this year.

YouTube on Aug. 22 said the video had 90.4 million views within 24 hours of its release on Aug. 19 at 1 p.m., setting a new high for the group. The figure is also the third highest in the world for any male or female artist.

The girl group’s previous record for views of a single music video within 24 hours was 86.3 million for “How You Like That.”

BLACKPINK now holds the K-pop mark for fastest music video to reach 100 million views at 29 hours and 35 minutes, beating its own record set with “How You Like That” (32 hours and 23 minutes).

The group’s latest hit is also seeing heated popularity on global music charts beyond YouTube. “Pink Venom” topped the iTunes Music Charts of 74 countries including the U.S. and the U.K. and ranked No.1 for three straight days on the Global Top 50 of Spotify.
