LOS ANGELES: Rose, the renowned vocalist from the popular girl group BLACKPINK, is set to release a collaborative single with acclaimed pop artist Bruno Mars. The new track, titled "APT," will premiere at 1 p.m. this Friday, as announced by her agency, The Black Label. According to Yonhap News Agency, The Black Label, which handles Rose's solo projects, recently teased fans with a photo of Rose and Bruno Mars on Instagram. This collaboration marks the beginning of Rose's endeavors ahead of her much-anticipated full-length solo album "rosie," scheduled for release on December 6. The agency revealed that Rose has actively participated in the songwriting process for all 12 tracks of the upcoming album, where she shares personal and emotional narratives. Rose first stepped into the music scene as the main vocalist for BLACKPINK in 2016 and embarked on her solo career in 2021 with the debut single "R." Her single "On The Ground" from the same year saw remarkable success, topping the Billboard Global 200 chart an d reaching No. 70 on the Hot 100. This track set a new record as the highest-charting song by a female K-pop solo artist. Following her debut, Rose had not released any additional solo albums. However, significant developments occurred in her career this year, including renewing her contract with YG Entertainment for BLACKPINK activities and signing a new contract with The Black Label for her solo endeavors. Last month, she expanded her global presence by signing with American record label Atlantic Records for her solo career.
