BTS Fans Gather in Seoul for Comeback Concert Amid High Expectations

Seoul: Some global fans of K-pop sensation BTS flocked to downtown Seoul overnight to get a glimpse of their favorite idol group performing its long-awaited comeback at the heart of the capital city.

According to Yonhap News Agency, fans from various countries gathered in the area, hoping to catch a glimpse of the performance. Sandy, a 31-year-old from the Philippines, shared his excitement despite not having tickets. After his work shift ended at 10 p.m. on Friday, he rushed to the venue, opting to stay overnight due to high accommodation costs.

Many fans chose to spend the night in nearby fast-food outlets. Establishments around Gwanghwamun Square experienced a surge in activity, with BTS enthusiasts eager for any chance to witness the special live event. Britanny, a 19-year-old student from Malaysia, explained that she and her friends headed to the area after an event at Korea University, despite not having tickets.

The vicinity of the main stage at Gwanghwamun Square was heavily guarded, with police lines ensuring only ticket holders could access the area. Despite the large gathering, officials reported no incidents, alleviating initial concerns about possible disturbances from the crowd.
