BTS to Expand ‘The City’ Cultural Experience to Las Vegas and Busan

Las vegas: K-pop sensation BTS is set to bring its large-scale cultural program, "The City," to Las Vegas next month, followed by Busan in June, as part of their ongoing world tour. The announcement was made by the group's agency, BigHit Music.

According to Yonhap News Agency, "The City" project first launched in Las Vegas during the band's "Permission to Dance on Stage" tour in 2022. The initiative aims to enhance the festive atmosphere by lighting up major city landmarks in purple, a color associated with BTS's global fanbase, ARMY. The project includes BTS-themed cultural events such as musical fountain shows, drone lighting displays, photo exhibitions, and multimedia art installations.

Most recently, "The City" was showcased in Seoul to mark the release of BTS's fifth studio album, "Arirang," on March 20, followed by a significant live performance in central Seoul the next day. The upcoming editions of the project will be aligned with the group's "Arirang" world tour concerts in each city.

The Las Vegas edition of the event is scheduled for May 20-31. BigHit Music stated that the project would offer immersive experiences through collaborations with major local brands and visual displays featuring city landmarks. In Busan, "The City" will run from June 5-21, coinciding with BTS's two-night concerts at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium on June 12-13, with a variety of related programs planned.
