Seoul:Defense Minister Kang Shin-chul met with Japanese Ambassador Koichi Mizushima, agreeing to enhance cooperation in the defense sector.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the meeting took place in Seoul, where both parties emphasized the importance of pursuing defense exchanges in a "reciprocal" and "future-oriented" manner.
They also highlighted the crucial role of security cooperation among South Korea, the United States, and Japan in addressing the growing nuclear and missile threats from North Korea. During the discussions, Kang encouraged Ambassador Mizushima to serve as a strong "bridge" between South Korea and Japan to foster bilateral relations.
