Dodgers Advance in MLB Postseason, Braves’ Kim Ha-seong Eliminated

Atlanta:One South Korean player has progressed to the next stage of the Major League Baseball (MLB) postseason, while another has been eliminated. The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Atlanta Braves 4-1 at Truist Park to secure their place in the upcoming National League Championship Series.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the Dodgers, the two-time defending World Series champions, will face the Milwaukee Brewers for the second consecutive year. The Brewers, boasting the best regular season record this year, advanced by defeating the San Diego Padres in their own National League Division Series.

South Korean infielder Kim Hye-seong contributed to the Dodgers' victory, appearing as a defensive replacement at second base. Despite limited regular-season play, Kim was added to the postseason roster due to his versatility and speed.

Conversely, the Braves' elimination marked a disappointing season for South Korean shortstop Kim Ha-seong. After a challenging year marred by injuries, Kim recorded a career-worst batting average and was ultimately benched for the final game of the series.
