SEOUL — Doosan Co. has seen a significant increase in its net profit for the third quarter, indicating a positive trend in the company's earnings.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the conglomerate announced a net income of 104.4 billion won ($77.7 million), marking a 24.6 percent rise from the same period in the previous year. While the company's operating profit experienced a slight decrease, the revenue exhibited an upward movement, expanding by 3.4 percent to reach 4.53 trillion won.
The reported operating profit for the quarter was 319.7 billion won, which shows a decrease from the 340.6 billion won reported during the same quarter last year. Despite this dip in operating profit, the overall financial health of the company appears resilient with the reported increase in net income and revenue.
Doosan Co.'s financial performance is closely watched by investors as a barometer of the broader economic health of the industry sectors it operates in.
